As I was playing through and building Swanson House during the 10 kid challenge I was just sending sim after sim to college. My favorite of the 10 was number 3, Charlie. Not sure exactly why. He's a hunk, its true, but also he just has a kinda dreamy and sweet personality. So after Swanson House was built, 8 of the 10 kids were sitting in Uni at separate dorms (I love watching the going-to-college animation movie so I like to move them in separately, then start consolidating households).



Then I built Aurora Road and wanted someone to playtest it. I downloaded a sweet sim from MTS2, Kiara, and decided to use her.



I made her a fortune sim and sent her on several dates (as well as testing all the toilets, sinks, showers, beds, couches, bookcases, etc., at Aurora Road). She didn't fall for any of the guys even though all were 1 and 2 bolts. So I broke down and used the ball, the ball that lets you see who some good matches are (top 5) and even teleports your choice to you if you want.

Imagine my pleasant surprise to see my dear Charlie pop up in the ball menu! I immediately teleported him to Kiara and they had a wonderful time. But now I was faced with a horrible, terrible task -- getting Charlie (and Aaron and Bianca before him) through university. Bleh.

My plan was to stair-step the 10 Swanson kids so that as each year ended, I'd bring into the playing dorm the next Swansling in line for their freshman year. I also installed twojeffs college adjuster so that once everyone was all good on the grade meter, I could just jump to 2 hours before their final, saving me about half of each semester.

Finally, Aaron and Bianca (twins) were done with their senior year and I thought it'd be fun to have a graduation party. So I invited a bunch of sims, including Kiara, thinking her and Charlie would have fun. Well. I also invited one of the guys Kiara had previously dated. Oops! Now, I didn't see what happened exactly but all of a sudden Charlie is crying and there is slapfest 2006 going on. Jared had apprently initiated something with Kiara and then Charlie, Charlie's mom Amanda, and Charlie's brother Ian all ended up in negative red enemy status with Kiara. Crap. And I had only 2 uni semesters to fix it because my plan was to have Charlie propose to Kiara during his graduation party while wearing his cap and gown.

I manage to patch things up and prior to graduating Charlie, went back to Swanson house and married off Aaron to Phyllis (the downtownie with a blue shirt, blond hair, and birth control glasses) and Bianca to Dan Hunt (S4 college student with Robi face). First Aaron's wedding. So exciting! My first wedding at Swanson house! They wed in the backyard after I moved the swingset.




But I  forgot one..

What task you ask? To check mom and dad's life meters. Todd, partriarch of Swanson house, was ready to check out. During a large wedding party. Bringing Swanson house to a screeching, crashing halt. I managed to get the wedding party finished (A Good Time! even with all the sobbing and wailing and mourning.) However, my house, or something, was fubared, sideways even.



I managed to put the cleaning gun, the obstacle course, and Todd's tombstone in my inventory and I moved everyone out (with poor Aaron still a virgin) and plopped down a new Swanson House from my lot bin.

And it was still bugged. I ended up with an extra grave stone, deleted that, and finally sent Todd's gravestone to a community lot and that FINALLY seemed to fix it. To test it, I decided to have Bianca marry. After first checking all relevant life meters :)



A lovely roof raising wedding, with no deaths, game crashes or blue screens was had, and upon their return Bianca and Dan borrowed mom's bed ..



and Aaron and Phyllis decided against their own chance in mom's bed (ewwwww!) and had their first woohoo, consummating their marriage, in the hot tub.



Aaron and Phyl moved out the next morning, very very glad to have some privacy, to a small home by plasticbox. I had decided to give the newlyweds the 20k they got from moving out, plus the 15k that Phyl brought upon marriage (into Swanson house).



Now, finally, its Charlie's time to shine! He had a lovely graduation party, proposing successfully to Kiara ..

and zoom! back to the neighborhood for him!



I had him move directly into Aurora Road with Kiara. I had saved her last on a Friday evening after work, when she had Sat and Sun off. Charlie ran from the curb into the house. Kiara stopped what she was doing (picking the money tree) and leapt into his arms. Charlie ordered some formal clothes for them both from a hacked computer then went to fix dinner. Kiara waited at the table while Charlie served and lit the fireplace, and then they dined, flirting, blowing kisses, toasting, and enjoying their time together. Though they both desperately wanted to woohoo, they slept in separate beds. I'm all for making my sims suffer. EO would be proud.

In the morning they got dressed in their wedding finery, posed for a few candid shots for the wedding photographer, and called for the wedding party! All was ready. After everyone arrived, Charlie and Kiara stopped slow dancing and headed out to the arch. I took a picture of them under the arch. And then ano... uh. W..T..F.



Game crash. Blue screen. Your computer has a problem and will be shut down.  I was distraught (ask Minena, she was here, I was just shy of being in tears). My oldest daughter thought I had lost my mind.

So after some video driver rearranging, I had to recreate my dreamy, romantic state from the time Charlie arrived at Aurora Road.

And tada! 
  Finally a wedding!
